Green Smoothie Bowl

I made this smoothie for a client and I loved it - luckily so did she. Some days you need a bit more than just a drink for breakfast, so a smoothie bowl is a good option. With the addition of soaked buckwheat and cashews it was filling and nutritious.

The spirulina powder is a powerful antioxidant and contains protein, B1, B2, B3, Iron, Copper, Magnesium, Potassium and Manganese, amongst other trace minerals.  It has many other benefits which you can read here

INGREDIENTS (serves 1)

  • 1.5 cups nut milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cashews soaked overnight and drained
  • 4 tablespoons buckwheat soaked
  • 1 handful baby spinach
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Spirulina powder
  • 1 frozen banana


  • 1 tablespoon bee pollen
  • 1/3 cup mixed berries
  • 2 teaspoons cacao nibs


Place all ingredients into a high powered blender and blend until smooth. Sprinkle over the bee pollen, berries and cacao.
